Due to the ever quickening pace of life in recent times, many tools, techniques, ideas and values have been lost and forgotten. Having a love for these lost arts, I spend countless hours studying the ideas and practicing the techniques of the past.
My family came to this country before the Revolutionary War and settled in the Appalachian Mountains. That remote area tried the ingenuity and resourcefulness of those who chose to live there. As a young boy, hearing the stories of the blacksmiths, gunsmiths, trappers and traders like Boone, Crockett, and Kenton made me realize I was born 175 years too late!
